Cooper!
Last week my boyfriend and I addopted our first pet, a wonderful male beagel named cooper. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a dog for about a few months now and nothing just seemed to fit our standards. We became reguals at the local animal shelters around here, one in lacrosse, The Coulee Human society, and the Human Society of Winona. Then one day my boyfriend recieved a call from the human society in Lacrosse, they had a litter of beagels come in, do you want to take a look at them. So together we went there with no big expectaions since we hadn't had any luck yet. But the moment we steped into the room all the dogs started barking and going nutts which is ver common there, but there sat this quiet little puppy in the back. We walk over to him still silent, we take him out play with him for alittle bit and we know it, we found our dog! We have had cooper for only a week now and I couldn't ask for a better pet! He is a huge lover, he loves to come and snuggle up with us whenever we are sitting down or when we go to bed at night. I'm so thankful we have found our puppy!
Cell Phone Drivers!
If there is one thing I hate, it's cell phone drivers. These people are the one's that are on their phone from the time they get in the car to the time they get out. Some examples of this is where someone is definitely not driving safely because they are on their phone and paying way more attention to that conversation they are having. Not only is that very annoying but it is very dangerous. Today I'm glad someone is doing something about this. I think there is a law now that says if you are talking on your cell phone you can get pulled over and get a ticket! What a good law from those people who abuse the privilege. Lets say your put in this situation, your driving along and take the corner to sharp because you have got to hold that phone to your ear and you are driving with one hand. Now doesn't that sound like a pretty embarrassing story to tell the police officer when he asked what happened? So next time your driving and going to pick up that cell phone, think about the consequences!
Tribute
So tonight I was writing my tribute speech for my speech class and I never realized how important one person can be on your whole life! For me it is one woman, my grandma. As I grew up there was no one else I'd rather be with besides my grandma. I would go to her house spend the weekend and never wanted to leave. We would have so much fun. I remember one thing we always did was go to the library. We could spend hours there just picking out different books and she would sit down and read them to me. My grandma is a reading teacher herself and being a teacher shows her caring side so well. She cares for anyone she comes across or if anyone asks for help, which is another one of her wonderful side, helpfulness. I remember in high school I would always put off my book reports until the last minuet and she would always be there right away to help me. Throughout my life I have had some situations from, my parents divorce, I myself finding out i had diabetes, to the day of my fathers heart attack. This wonderful woman has been there through thick and thin, always there, always willing to help. Now as I'm growing up I stop and think when I'm in situations, "what would grandma say" and that is something i always think about. So when I grow up and decide to start a family of my own I only hope I can be a wonderful woman just like my grandma!
